David Kortava is an editor at Foreign Affairs. He has reported for The New Yorker on a range of subjects, including Russia’s “filtration camps” in eastern Ukraine — a cover story supported by the Pulitzer Center. His writing has also appeared in Harper’s Magazine, The New York Times Book Review, and other publications.
Kortava was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, grew up mostly in New Jersey, studied international affairs at Columbia University, and served in the Peace Corps in South Africa.
